With Karan Johar formally announcing that his most ambitious venture till date, MY NAME IS KHAN is now moving to 2010, DULHA MIL GAYA would now be the only Shah Rukh Khan starrer to release this year after BILLU.
Smiles Viveck, “No one can plan or control such things. In any case DULHA MIL GAYA is an event film and with Shah Rukh Khan making his appearance with the film this year, it would only make it worthy enough for double the celebrations. Come, join the party with your families once we bring our ‘dulha’ on-screen. Trust me; it would be a welcome relief for you after listening to all the ‘kamineys’ and the ‘kambakkths’ this year!”
There has been some flip-flop around the release of DULHA MIL GAYA in the recent times with the film now being moved from September to November. Now 13th November is the chosen date for the release of DULHA MIL GAYA that stars Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen and Fardeen Khan in principal roles.
“There was so much of clutter in September and October”, reasons Viveck, “It made sense to bring DULHA MIL GAYA in November as I see some sanity coming in the release calendar.”
A few weeks back, it was reported that a Dubai based businessman picked up the film after he visited Viveck Vaswani with bag full of money.
“All of this has been nothing but a figment of imagination of some minds who are just on some mischief or other. As and when I sell my film, I would make the announcement in the right manner. Currently the postproduction of the film is in full swing and I want to concentrate well on that task”, he adds.
He confirms though that this time around there won’t be any further change in date.
“This is the final release date for the film and we are sticking to it”, announces Viveck, “We are getting our entire promotional plan in place for the film now. Come September and we would begin painting the town red with DULHA MIL GAYA.”
