London, Oct 31 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Singer Duffy has finally broken her relationship with Mike Phillips. The Rugby star and the 27-year-old singer have been struggling with their relationship.

Last May the pair reported splitting up but they quickly reconciled shortly after the announcement. A source told the British newspaper The Sun on Sunday that the couple worked on the stormy relationship but they decided to end it when they realized that it was not working.

The source was quoted by the newspaper as saying that, “It’s sad but it’s all over. Mike and Duffy went through a rough patch in May but they worked through it and spent the summer together between London and Wales. We were all hoping it would work out but they broke it off again recently and Duffy has said this time it’s final. It happened a few weeks ago during the World Cup.”

The source said the relationship suffered from the effect of not spending time together. The two have mostly been kept apart because of their various careers. Mike was recently in New Zealand for the Rugby World Cup but Duffy couldn’t join him because of her career commitments.

Duffy in an earlier interview said Mike was the right guy for her after describing some of her former dates as “idiots.”
