‘Drunk’ Mariah Carey gives sloppy acceptance speech at Palm Springs Film Fest
January 7th, 2010 - 6:19 pm ICT by ANI ( Leave a comment )London, Jan 7 (ANI): A ‘drunk’ Mariah Carey found it difficult to speak as she slurred and stumbled with words while trying to give an acceptance speech after she bagged the best supporting actress award at the Palm Springs Film Festival.
Carey won the coveted award for her role in Lee Daniels’ Precious.
“Oh my goodness! I don’t think they understand the kitten in cotton thing. No we don’t. Ok, I love you,” the Daily Star quoted Carey, as beginning her acceptance speech.
“I have to say this is - and please forgive me because I’m a little bit um… yeah. Oh my goodness…” she added. (ANI)
