Oprah Winfrey London, Sept 15 (ANI): Singer Whitney Houston has admitted that her cocaine addiction had wrecked her life.

In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, the 46-year-old revealed that she took crack cocaine and marijuana despite denying using the drug.

She went high on drugs after her 1992 movie ‘The Bodyguard’, when she would take marijuana combined with cocaine.

“You put your marijuana, you lace it, you roll it up and you smoke it,” the Telegraph quoted Houston as saying.

“I had so much money and so much access to what I wanted.

“I didn’t think about the singing part anymore. I was looking for my young womanhood,” she added.

Houston said that she had forgotten that she was a singer, when she was heavily addicted to drugs.

The popstar said her addiction got so bad that her mother, soul singer Cissy Houston had to go to her home with police armed with a court injunction in a desperate bid to get her into rehab.

Houston also took her daughter Bobbi Kristina to rehab with her as she attempted to kick her cocaine habit - so she could fully explain what had gone wrong in her mother’s life. (ANI)
