March 17th, 2011 - 2:41 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, Mar 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actress Drew Barrymore is planning to direct her second movie which is titled ‘How to be Single’. The movie is going to be based on a novel by the author Liz Tuccillo. In the past, Drew Barrymore had made her directorial debut with ‘Whip It Up’ which starred Ellen Page, Kristen Wiig and Marcia gay Harden.
According to reports, her second directorial venture is about the love lives of some New York inhabitants over a decade. There is also a strong buzz that the story line is similar to other movies like Valentine’s Day, New Year’s Eve and He’s Just Not That Into You. It ought to be mentioned that Valentine’s Day was described as “yucky, plasticky confection of sentimentality, like eating fudge with the cellophane wrapper still on” by Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian.
Drew Barrymore was not only the actor but also the co-producer of ‘He’s Just Not That Into You.’ This movie was inspired by a self-help book. The book was made into the screenplay by Marc Silverstein and Abby Kohn and they are back on board to write the screenplay for ‘How to be single’ too.
