Dr Oz Kicks Off ‘Million Dollar You’ Challenge
September 27th, 2011 - 2:06 pm ICT by Angela Kaye MasonSep 26 (THAINDIAN NEWS) On today’s ‘Dr Oz Show’, Weight Watcher has teamed up with Dr Oz in order to bring viewers the ‘Million Dollar You’ challenge. Dr Oz has a seven step plan which fans can sign up for in order to be a part of the challenge, transform their health and maybe even win a million bucks!
The steps of the plan are quite easy. Participants have to sign up with Weight Watchers, and not only do a weigh in, but also an individual BMI calculation. It doesn’t matter whether you do so via the Weight Watcher’s website or at an actual meeting. Once a person has registered for Dr Oz’s challenge, the weigh in and BMI calculation are complimentary. You will also need to answer family history questions related to health, and other questions to show how well you sleep, your stress levels, and other relevant subjects.
Dr Oz says that there is no purchase needed to enter the contest other than signing up with Weight Watchers. Out of the participants who take part in the challenge, one lucky winner will get the one million dollars. After taking Dr Oz’s Ultimate Health Quiz, you will then need to go through seven different steps which will transform you into a healthier person. Participants will earn badges for these different steps: Telling a Friend, Official Weigh In and BMI Calculation, Visiting Your Doctor, Studying the Family Health History, Sleeping More, Lowering Stress, and Beginning new Fitness Habits.
Participants must enter before April 9, 2012, and the winner will be announced on the Dr Oz show on May 23, 2012. Contact Weight Watchers to get more information on how to enter. According to Dr Oz, a new study shows that those people who are overweight or obese, and were sent to Weight Watchers by their doctors, would lose double the weight lost by those who did not enter into a weight loss program and tried on their own. Dr Oz says that Weight Watchers helps participants to make healthier choices while still eating the foods that they love, and more fruits and vegetables. He advises anyone trying to lose weight to seek support from somewhere. He also shares that healthy snacks help to keep hunger down, and that power walking causes more weight loss than any other exercise.
