Dr. Drew Pinsky to leave ‘Celebrity Rehab’
July 12th, 2011 - 10:10 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattHollywood, July 12 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Radar Online has reported that the current season of the highly successful reality show “Celebrity Rehab” could be the last for Dr. Drew Pinsky. The report said Dr. Drew decided to step down as the host of the show because of his busy schedule. A source quoted in the report said Dr. Drew might eventually return to the show after some time.
Dr. Drew has a new show coming up on CW titled “Dr. Drew’s Lifechangers.” He still intends to keep the show “The Dr. Drew Show,” and the radio show “Loveline.”
The fifth season of “Rehab” is ongoing. The celebrities who are currently on the show seeking help include Michael Lohan, Sean Young and Bai Ling among others.
A source which was quoted by Radar Online in the report stated that, “The amount of time Dr. Drew has to commit to treating celebrities on the show is a tremendous amount of time… Dr. Drew really enjoyed doing the show, even though it could be very emotionally grueling at times.”
Several A rated celebrities have in the past been part of the “Rehab” show. Dr. Drew is a specialist in helping people who have substance addiction problems.
