Dr. Dre Sued By Paramount Recording Studios

dtLos Angeles, July 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) American record producer Dr. Dre is making headlines lately after a leading recording studio filed a lawsuit against the rapper. The Paramount Recording Studios based in California has sued the rap mogul for not making the necessary payments after using the studio for his work.

In the lawsuit that has been filed by Paramount Recording Studios, it has been claimed that the rapper/producer used the studio for the period between the month of April last year to June, 2010 but failed to pay for the time spent in the studio. The papers filed in the Los Angeles Superior Court also alleges that the 45-year-old record producer had given his word that he would pay the due amount to the studio by the middle of this month but did not make the payments till now. Left with no other option, Paramount Recording Studios ultimately had to take legal action against Dr. Dre, whose real name is Andre Young. In the meanwhile, it has also been reported that the rap mogul used the studio for about ten years while he also got a lower rate on the space. The lawsuit that was filed this Friday is seeking up to a whopping $1.2 million dollars in damages, according to reports.

The record producer was also amidst a legal procedure earlier this year when he had filed a lawsuit against Death Row Records for re-releasing his album “The Chronic” which received wide popularity after it was released in the year 1992. The rapper claimed that her had not received a single penny from the sales of the album after he quit the company in 1996. In June this year, the case was dismissed by a California judge.
