New York, April 5 (ANI): Michael Jackson is to be blamed for giving himself a fatal drug overdose, according to reports.

Lawyers for Dr Conrad Murray, accused of causing the singer’s death, are reportedly saying that it was the 50-year-old singer who accidentally gave himself the fatal overdose, reports the New York Daily News.

According to celebrity site TMZ.com, Dr Murray is saying that Jackson reached for a small vial of Propofol after waking up alone while he was out of the room.

Murray admits that he gave Jackson 25 mg of Propofol - about an eighth of a bottle.

And Murray’s legal defense will reportedly argue that in the two minutes Murray left the singer’s room to use the bathroom, Jackson woke up and, in frustration at not being asleep, administered himself more Propofol, causing an overdose.

As part of a criminal investigation, prosecutors have charged Murray with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Jackson, 50, who had been rehearsing for a series of concerts in London before his death. (ANI)
