Douglas to play a womaniser in ‘Solitary Man’September 18th, 2008 - 1:24 pm ICT by IANS
New York, Sep 18 (IANS) Oscar winning actor Michael Douglas will be seen as a car magnate with a runaway libido in “Solitary Man”. Douglas plays a former owner of a car dealership chain whose career and marriage were destroyed by his business and romantic indiscretions, hollywood.com reports.
Interestingly, Douglas was reported to be a sex addict when he was admitted to rehab in 1990. Reportedly, his first wife Diandra Douglas left him because she was fed up with his womanising and his failure to be a good father to his son Cameron.
Susan Sarandon, Danny DeVito and Jenna Fischer are in talks to star in the film.
“Solitary Man” will be directed by Brian Koppelman and David Levien. The film is produced by Paul Schiff and Steven Soderbergh.
