Douglas honour for Harrison Ford
September 30th, 2010 - 5:11 pm ICT by ANILondon, Sep 30 (ANI): ‘Blade Runner’ star Harrison Ford is set to receive the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s ‘Kirk Douglas’ Award for Excellence in California during the end of this year.
Veteran movie icon Douglas will be present to hand the accolade to Ford at a black-tie gala on 19 November 2010.
“I’m delighted to give this award to Harrison Ford. It’s always a pleasure to honour these young actors who do so well,” the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
The organisers will be hoping Ford can show up for his big moment after he was forced to pull out of an Operation Smile charity dinner held in his honour on Friday.
His new bride Calista Flockhart stepped in and accepted the award on his behalf. (ANI)
