‘Don’t Stop’ Two Years Old - Discloses Lupe Fiasco

October 11, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): Rap star Lupe Fiasco has disclosed the ‘Don’t Stop’ by Kanye West isn’t really a new song. Lupe says that it had been created a good two years ago although the MP3 download had just been made available to the public. It is now a part of West’s “G.O.O.D. Friday” promotion.

Lupe Fiasco recently spoke to MTV about “Don’t Stop! Child Rebel Soldier” which can be downloaded from KanyeWest.com. He said that although the song has been making waves all over the World Wide Web where it is being played currently, it had actually been written a couple of years ago. He also disclosed that it had, in fact, been a part of experimentation for both West and him. The ‘Glow in the Dark’ tour brought them together when they decided to do a record. He explains the song as a process of finding their direction in the world of music. Lupe, however, admits that he does not know whether Kanye West has changed or updated some of the verses that had been a part of the original version.

The song may have been written two years back instead of being just two days old. But it had been kept successfully under the wraps until now. The verses feature both Lupe and Kanye along with Pharrell of the Neptunes fame. The hard hitting backdrop featuring all three of the stars is definitely appealing although the free availability of the song right now is an added bonus too.

While it is not known whether ‘Don’t Stop’ will feature in Lupe’s upcoming record, both West and Fiasco have their own new albums coming out soon.
