Sep 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Don Lemon the noted anchor of CNN networks has come out clear about his disturbing past when he was molested by a pedophile. He was talking to the victims of the disgraced Georgia bishop Eddie Long, who, allegedly sexually molested number of people over the years, taking advantage of his position. It was at that time that the anchor revealed his sordid memories and said that as a child he was sexually abused by a person much senior to him. The Bishop has been accused by four men and all of them said in their complaints that he had coerced them into having sex with him when they were younger. Some of the victims have also described how he forced himself upon them and the advances of the Bishop, were grotesque, by all means!

Don Lemon deserves credit for coming out to the viewers about a topic that most people choose to keep buried under carpet for most of their lives. The anchor revealed that he was also too hesitant to bring the issue out in open. The host also said later that African Americans usually do not prefer discussing these topics openly and suffer the mental agony alone. He could not even tell his mother about the molestation until 30, which is dreadful. He later posted in his Twitter account that he did not plan to tell the viewers about his molested childhood but it came out spontaneously.

Don Lemon also condemned the way the molesters exploit the victims using religion and power. The disgraced Bishop who has been described by his victims as a sexual predator in disguise however has denied the allegations so far. His lawyer has said these are nothing more than cooked up stories by some people who are hell bent on tarnishing his reputation.
