Dominic Monaghan, Daniel Henney join Hugh Jackman in Wolverine

Washington, Feb 22 (ANI): Dominic Monaghan and Daniel Henney are joining Hugh Jackman in the X-Men spin-off Wolverine.

While Monaghan takes on the role of Barnell, a mysterious character from Wolverine’s past who has the ability to manipulate energy and electricity, Henney will portray Agent Zero, a member of the Weapon X program and an expert tracker with lethal marksman skills.

Also seen in the movie that has Jackman starring in the lead role will be Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, rapper as John Wraith, Taylor Kitsch as Gambit, Liev Schreiber as Victor Creed/Sabretooth, Danny Huston as William Stryker and Lynn Collins as Kayla Silver Fox, reports Variety.

Gavin Hood is directing from a script penned by David Benioff.

Shooting is currently taking place in New Zealand, Australia and New Orleans, with a May 1, 2009 release date set.

Lauren Shuler Donner and Ralph Winter are producing with Jackman and his Seed Prods. producing partner John Palermo. Marvel’s Kevin Feige exec produces. (ANI)
