Here is a good news for the fans of ‘9 to 5: the musical’! Dolly Patron, the writer of the musical is likely to appear on Wednesday night show in Chicago. If everything goes well then there will be great treat for the Dolly Patron fans.
It is not possible for the 65-year old American singer to be present personally in all the shows of ‘9 to 5: the musical’ tour, which started in September, 2010. The lady is celebrating her 65th birthday today and the fans may got lucky to see her tonight itself.
Patron is likely to walk the red carpet at around 6:45 pm. She will then introduce the show to the opening-night audience from the stage. It is all set to launch at the Bank of America Theater, 18 W. Monroe.
In 2009, when Patron appeared herself on Broadway, the producers had to face the Dixie Stampede problem. The Broadway musical is closely based on the 1980 comedy, which starred Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Patron herself.
Mike Isaacson of Fox Theatricals, lead producer of the show, stated that they felt that audience really wanted to have a glimpse of Dolly, so they are bringing her in Chicago on Wednesday night.
We hope, her fans will be satisfied now to see her in Chicago!
