Hardeep Kataria , born in 1982 , raised in Slough, Berkshire. Music played a major part in his life and in his early teens , he got his first set of turntables. Dj H developed the DJ’ing skill at his teenage years. Dj H practiced extremely to perfect his skills and also experimenting with class urban flavours and with the Desi beats.
He was DJ’ing in Londons biggest nightclubs with big names such as Trevor Nelson, Tim Westwood and Bhangra acts such as RDB, Jazzy B and Malkit Singh.
His intimate knowledge of Bhangra led to him joining the UK’s largest professional discotheque company, “Calibar Roadshow”. H signed a deal with the UK’s biggest Desi label, ” Untouchables UK”
Every week H performs at Calibar Roadshow or at gigs and events at the biggest nightclubs across the UK and abroad.
In 2005, his first album ‘ The Debut’ album was released by the Untouchables UK record label. DjH album showed a variety of musical influences and also guided by label-mates RDB.
It was the opportunity to work with chart-topping singer/songwriter Lembher Hussainpuri that propelled H’s name into every Bhangra fans CD players and iPods. The club anthem ‘Ishq Brandy’ was the Bhangra record of the year, and the single and album held onto the BBC Asian Network Charts top spot for an unprecedented 13 weeks straight. Additionally, ‘The Debut’ also remained at the top of Club Asia’s chart for 8 weeks. With a high budget video shot in India, ‘The Debut’ was considered one of the albums of the year, and ‘Ishq Brandy’ without doubt the Bhangra club banger of the year. The success of the album forced H into every nightclub in the country, often performing in two different cities on the same night. H’s international reputation as one of the best Bhangra DJ’s has also been enhanced with international bookings in Dubai, India & Hong Kong, amongst others.
H has been working on his follow-up album for the last two years. This time H has acquired the talents of fellow Calibar Roadshow member and friend DJ Rags.
DJ Rags ,learned how to play the dhol, dholki and tabla. Started as a DJ at the mid nineties, Rags worked to develop his DJ technique by cultivating his emotive style, he earned immense credibility within the Asian music circuit. Mastering his skills, Rags started playing with some of the most recognised artists of the nineties, namely Mickey Finn, Randal and Grooverider – further bolstering his reputation as one of London’s premier DJs.

After conquering the club scene, Rags established his own discotheque company in 1999 - Mix & Blend and is now part of the popular roadshow Calibar. Rags can be seen and heard across venues in the UK and internationally.
Coupling their talents and musical influences, the album has already been touted as the biggest budget Bhangra album ever – ‘Reloaded’.
The album which is produced by the duo, will be out in August on independently set up label - Reloaded Camp Records. It features an array of talent which make up the Reloaded Camp including Lehmber Hussainpuri, Pankaj Khanna, Bharat Goel, Manak-E, Tanvir Gogi, Nirmal Sidhu, Miss Pooja, Billa Bakshi, Rebel Man, Kaka Bhainiawala, DJ Bola and Jas Johal. The experience and engineering skills of Kam Frantic and RDB are employed to give this massive album an extra spark.
Setting the standard high ‘Aaja Aaja’ was the first track to be released from the album, followed by ‘Mar Javan’. Each track has been teamed up with high budget videos shot by visual genius Ballistic Productions. Taking you around the world, the videos are shot in Dubai, Mumbai and Punjab and Los Angeles.
H has a full state of the art music studio built at his home in west London, where all the pre-production, vocal recordings and instrument percussion takes place, alongside engineers Kam Frantic and RDB, who engineer the tracks. H has also invested in film production team - Ballistic Productions, who have set up a production house in Dubai for international filming and editing and also an edit suite based at H’s home.
Probably one of the highest budget Bhangra albums ever, H and Rags are set to make major waves on the worldwide desi scene with ‘Reloaded’. The album infuses Bhangra melodies, from classic covers to contemporary Asian beats. With a mix of H and Rags’ creative talents, the pair have provided some unique sounds and styles on this offering which will score highly with fans and critics.
