The memorial service took place almost a week after the 36 year old immensely popular celebrity DJ was found dead in his New York apartment by the police. It has been alleged that the reason for the death might have been a drug overdose.

According to the reports of the People, there was supposed to have been a huge turnout of almost hundred guests, who were invited, as well as fans of the spinner. They had all turned up to remember him. AM’s girlfriend Hayley Wood, who many believe may have unknowingly led to the death of the DJ [as it has been reported that after she broke up with him, he had gone on a drug overdrive], was also spotted at the service looking teary eyed. She has reportedly said, “He was my soul-mate and now he is my soul. He is my amazing grace.”

The memorial had lasted for about two and a half hours. Among the big names who were spotted at the venue, were AM’s former fiance Nicole Richie, the “Mean Girls” star Lindsay Lohan, Lohan’s former lover and celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson, Eric Dane, Rebecca Gayheart, Robert Downey jr., among others.

Press was not allowed inside the venue and few details of what had actually taken place, have emerged.
