London, May 28 (ANI): British rapper Dizzee Rascal is teaming up with comedian James Corden for the recording of a song for England’s World Cup campaign.
The recording is being directed by British TV personality Simon Cowell.
The trio is re-working on a 80s classic but they have not revealed the track, reports The Sun.
“I’m going down to South Africa to spread some love. I think we can win the World Cup and I’m doing my bit,” Dizzee said.
“Simon got in touch with Dizzee with the idea. He really admires how Dizzee has gone from hardcore rapper to chart-topping hit maker. To say Dizzee was surprised to hear from him is an understatement. But they really hit it off,” a source revealed.
“Simon is supervising the project and suggested that Dizzee should share some vocals with James. They’ve taken a huge hit from the 80s and brought it bang up to date,” the source added.
“It’s bound to be huge,” the source further said. (ANI)
