Divorce finalized for Morgan Freeman

September 20, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Award winning actor Morgan Freeman and his wife have finalized their divorce in the state of Mississippi.
A certain Tallahatchie County judge had the divorce decree on the 15th of September and William R. Wright, the attorney who represented Freeman spoke to The Association Press and revealed that the divorce terms are all sealed. He also said that the divorce was finalized without a trial.
Freeman and his ex-wife, Myrna Colley-Lee, were separated in the month of December in the year 2007, thus pulling a curtain over 26 years of marriage. This particular divorce was filed under the seal in the month of July in the year 2008.
It was said that both Freeman and Colley-Lee lived in Tallahatchie County in the northern part of Mississippi. This is also the place where Freeman owned a ranch near Charleston. Kay Farese Turner represented Colley-Lee and was not straight away available for a comment. Morgan’s ex-wife Colley-Lee is a theater and movie costume designer.
The two were married on the 16th of June in 1984. In November of 2009, Freeman developed a lawsuit that was related to a particular car accident two years back. He was gravely injured in this incident. Demaris Meyer did file the lawsuit against Freeman and accused him of drinking at the night of the accident.
