‘Disney’s A Christmas Carol’ tops weekend box office

Michael Jackson Washington, Nov 9 (ANI): ‘Disney’s A Christmas Carol’, featuring Jim Carey, has topped the weekend box office after raking in 31 million dollars.

Falling to second place was ‘This Is It,’ a compilation of footage of the late Michael Jackson as he prepared for a final world tour, according to studio estimates, reports E! Online.

‘The Men Who Stare at Goats’ came third with 13.3 million dollars while ‘The Fourth Kind’ landed the fourth spot after raking in 12.5 million dollars.

‘Paranormal Activity’ rounded off the top five with 8.6 million dollars.

The weekend’s top-grossing films are:

1. Disney’s A Christmas Carol, $31 million

2. Michael Jackson’s This Is It, $14 million

3. The Men Who Stare at Goats, $13.3 million

4. The Fourth Kind, $12.5 million

5. Paranormal Activity, $8.6 million

6. The Box, $7.9 million

7. Couples Retreat, $6.4 million

8. Law Abiding Citizen, $6.2 million

9. Where the Wild Things Are, $4.2 million
