Discovery Channel & Steven Spielberg working together on ‘Future Earth’

spielberg New York, Apr 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Discovery Channel and Steven Spielberg are working in tandem on ‘Future Earth.’ It is reported to be an animated series about how life would be in the future. The Discovery Channel said that ‘Future Earth’ would be a miniseries that would portray life on Earth, in the coming 25 years, 50 years and even a century.

To make the miniseries as balanced and as realistic as possible, some futurists and scholars would be also taken on board, and their opinions on how life would be in the future would also be taken into consideration. Discovery Channel also revealed on Thursday that the miniseries would make its debut on TV screens in late 2011.

The President of Discovery and Science channels – Clark Bunting hopes that the famous director and his DreamWorks production company can collaborate on some projects in the future as well.

“I am excited to be back in business with DreamWorks Animation and all the active imaginations and creative artists at the best animation company in the world today. Joining together with Discovery, we have an opportunity to bring exciting new experiences to take television audiences into the imagined future of planet Earth,” Steven Spielberg said about his collaboration with the Discovery Channel.
