Discovery Channel Slammed By Michael Jackson’s Coroner
December 31st, 2010 - 5:11 pm ICT by Sampurn Wire
January 13, Discovery Channel has planned to air the re-enactment of Michael Jackson’s autopsy and it has already outraged not only his family members but his fans too. The assistant chief coroner is Ed Winter told the media that he has already refused to the invitation of being interviewed by the channel for autopsy procedure.
Winter goes on to say that doing such a thing is not only “unprofessional” but also disrespecting Michael and his family. A letter has been send to the Discovery Channel from the lawyers of MJ’s estate urging the channel not to air the program. The executors John Branca and John McClain has slammed the producers of the show by telling that they are exploiting Michael’s death and duping the public. The letter goes on to state that the channel is not only being insensitive but also the ad promoting the program is “sick”.
The ad that’s going on in Europe for the program shows, the King of Pop’s famous sequined glove is peeking out from the white draping coroner’s sheet. But even without the assistant chief coroner Winter, the Discovery Channel has decided to go ahead with the program and re-create the copy of the autopsy report which is a public property now.
