Discovering A New Side Of David Cook

Jan 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) David Cook, the winner of season seventh of American Idol, has started a show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on ABC from 8p.m. yesterday. In an interview, he expresses how involved he is in the entire project. The young heartthrob realized his passion for music during his early years of school days. As a student of grade two, he was given an opportunity to sing in a Christmas performance. Ever since that day, his ardent love for music went on growing.
The down to earth singer is now interested in bringing about a social change through the show Extreme Makeover. The first episode featured on Sunday attempted to help the Cowan-Brown family. David and the entire crew is trying to build a house for the Cowan family. Kori, the daughter of the family is suffering from severe blood disorder. This tragic story turns the audience emotional. David says the whole process has been emotionally disturbing for him. On being asked how involved he was with the entire show, David stated that he did a bit of everything. He was especially interested in designing the rooms for the house which is being given to the needy Cowan family.
Apart from that, he is even participating in Race for Hope- which help to raise awareness and fund for Brain Tumor. David and his team has raised the highest fund for this occasion. The young singer is taking up social services seriously. Though the singer misses his anonymity, he fells extremely fortunate for being what he is. Music as well as social good is what he is concentrating on.
