New York, Nov 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) ‘2012’ movie is an epic adventure about the global cataclysm that brings an end to the world and also tells of the heroic struggle of the brave survivors. 2012 is a complete disaster and ‘end-of-the-world’ film, which is directed by Roland Emmerich. The film has an ensemble cast, which includes legends in their own right like, John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Woody Harrelson. The film is being distributed by Columbia Pictures.
According to some critics, who have already seen the movie, it is a complete disaster whereas some others think that it is a must-watch, at least once. 2012 is the latest disaster movie to marvel and cash on in the destruction of the planet. Actor John Cusack plays the role of castoff father (Jackson Curtis), who is a failed novelist and struggling in his life but making ends meet by being a limo driver. His ex-wife lives with her boyfriend and their children. They bring the emotional element in this otherwise heartless and graphically directed film.
Some people think that the movie is too long. It could have had been edited and chopped off with at least 30 minutes of screen time to make it into a more tighter movie. Director Emmerich hasn’t padded the movie with silly and trivial entities like meaningful dialogue and character development and a logical story line. The emphasis on just action sequences makes it like watching “The Towering Inferno,” “Earthquake” and “The Poseidon Adventure” simultaneously.

Independence Day, The Day After Tomorrow and now 2012, enough is enough. I went to see it yesterday and it was a waste of time and money. This was an opportunity to create an epic which would make the world sit up and listen but it turned into graphics made to fit cheesy acting scenes. It looks like the story line was rushed together so that they could get this film out before 2012.

This movie totally suxs !!! The first 1/4 part was alright but the actors all suxed. Everything about the movie was so graphically fixed that it should be made into some video game for xbox. I do not recommend that anyone go watch this movie. Wait for the dvd to come out !!! Too long and boring after the 1st half. The captain was a stupid actor, the geek at yellowstone park was a total jerk off, the russians were all retarded, it was a completely retarded movie.
