Director Onir loses his valuables
November 18th, 2009 - 7:18 pm ICT by sampurnCountless stories have been heard about Bollywood directors and celebrities misplacing baggage, losing valuables etc, while traveling for shoots to foreign locations. This time it was director Onir who had his car window smashed with his cell phone and I-pod missing. The incident occurred when Onir accompanied by a friend was having dinner in Chicago.
Onir was traveling in the US for lectures and screenings of his internationally acclaimed film My Brother Nikhil, Sorry Bhai and yet to release, I Am Omar at Michigan University and Cornell University. “Of course I am upset that I have lost all my numbers, but luckily I had just taken out my passport from the car,” says Onir.
Although the incident has left Onir in state of shock as he has lost his contact numbers and other information, what keeps him going is the warm response he has received from the students at Universities. Onir is in NY for screening of I Am Omar and Sorry Bhai.
