Los Angeles, Oct 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actress Scarlett Johansson lost out on a role in the movie “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” because the director says she looked too sexy. The movie is currently being shot at a location in Sweden.

In an interview with the Vogue magazine, director David Fincher said the actress looked too sexy for the lead role which was eventually given to Rooney Mara. He explained that he didn’t want the attention of the viewers to shift to the beauty of Johansson that is why he didn’t pick her for the role.

Fincher admitted that Johansson did very well at the audition but he said “the thing with Scarlett is, you can’t wait for her to take her clothes off.”

Mara will be picking the first major role in her acting career since she featured in the remake of the classic “The Nightmare on Elm Street,” last year. She is currently working to fit the role. The British newspaper Daily Mail reports that the 26-year-old has cut her hair in order to fit the personality of Lisbeth Sanders who is the main character in the movie.

She has also reportedly had piercings at her nipple, nose, brow and nose as part of preparation for the role.
