Directing gives Francis Ford Cappola panic attacks!November 27th, 2007 - 4:23 pm ICT by admin
Washington , Nov 27(ANI): Director Francis Ford Coppola admitted that he hates taking charge and telling people what to do.
The mere idea of it, the Oscar-winning filmmaker admitted, fills him with angst and insecurity.
The 68 year old also revealed that directing gives him panic attacks, for he feels that there is nothing worse than being embarrassed in front of people.
Coppola, who has directed masterpieces like Godfather, put his fear down to spending his childhood as the new kids in school.
I think that fear comes from when I was a kid - I was always the new kid in school and I was terrified of being humiliated, Contactmusic quoted him, as saying.
“It’s the same thing on set, everyone’s there looking at you as if you’re smart… and of course you don’t think you’re smart at all,” he added. (ANI)
