Dion to launch another fragrance
July 24th, 2011 - 4:50 pm ICT by IANSLondon, July 24 (IANS) Singer Celina Dion will launch a new fragrance titled “Signature” in September.
Dion’s previous seven scents have generated an estimated $40 million in sales.
“The fragrance category is all about dreams, and Celine Dion has shown repeatedly that she is an icon who touches people,” femalefirst.co.uk quoted Marsha Brooks, vice president of global marketing for Coty Beauty who produce the perfume, as saying.
“Celebrity fragrance franchises generally don’t last as long as fashion brands, but Celine has proven that she has incredible longevity in a category where there is always something new. We see our collaboration with her as a very long-term project, and our sales remain very solid,” she added.
“Signtaure” will feature notes of mimosa blossom, amberwood and sandalwood and will be sold in 50,000 stores worldwide, of which 28,000 will be in the US.
The bottle will be available at the price range of $16, $27 and $34 depending on the size.
