flivkJune 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) There are lots of people who have no appetite for the Syfy original movies dealing with super sized monsters that are shown on the network exclusively for TV viewers. However, some people watch these CGI oriented low budget movies occasionally to enjoy the weekend and beat the stress. One such film is the Syfy movie “Dinocroc Vs. Supergator” which witnessed its world premiere last night. The film that was shown yesterday had a lot to talk about the late David Carradine, the ‘Kill Bill’ actor. He plays the role of Jason Drake who is a rich investor spending millions in a tropical island to create genetic Frankenstein like creations using biotechnology.

Many feel the acting in the movie is just about average and it is David Carradine who keeps the viewers interested with his dialogues. However, he is not seen in the same frame with the monstrous CGI creatures. The fast pace of the movie is its saving grace in a way. Those who have enjoyed previous CGI TV films like ‘Mega Piranha’, ‘Sharktopus’ and ‘Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus’ will find this film appealing. The swampy hunter hired to destroy the two giant creatures is a treat to watch. Those who have seen ‘Jurassic Park’ and other monster creature based flicks will find nothing exceptional in this film.

There are certain scenes in this film which reminds one of scenes from yesteryear flicks like ‘Jaws’ and ‘Jurassic Park’ and the sequence when Dinocroc chases some ladies on jeep by road is one such instance. The movie makes for a fun filled weekend watch and managed to gather decent viewership.
