Diego Forlan recognises Anil Kapoor

Slumdog Millionaire Kolkata, Aug 1 (IANS) Uruguayan Diego Forlan, who bagged the golden ball as the best player of the football World Cup 2010, may not have seen many Indian films but there is one Bollyood actor he knows by face - Anil Kapoor.
“I have seen ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. I saw the host of the quiz show in that movie. Here (In India) this morning on television also I have seen him,” said Forlan while being interviewed by Bengali entertainment channel Mahuaa Bangla.

“Slumdog Millionaire” is an English film directed by Danny Boyle with almost the entire star cast comprising Indians. The film was set and filmed in India. The film tells the story of a young man from the slums of Mumbai who appears on a quiz show hosted by Anil Kapoor.

Forlan arrived in the city Friday on a three-day tour to take part in a soccer reality show organised by the Mahuaa Bangla channel.

Replying to another query, Forlan said he was very close to his parents and brother.

Asked whom he would take with him if he was to go and play football at the North Pole, Forlan replied: “My brother”.
