Los Angeles, California, Sep 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) “Jennifer’s Body” is the latest offering from the famed, Oscar winning scriptwriter Diablo Cody, who is widely known for her script for the 2007 film “Juno,” which had fetched her the Academy Award for the Best Original Screenplay. The movie has been directed by Karyn Kusama and it stars the stunning Megan Fox, Amanda Seyfried and Adam Brody in the leading roles.

The movie released in the United states and in Canada on the September 18. The title of the flick is supposed to have been derived from the track on Hole’s album called “Live Through This”.

The plot of the movie focuses on two very unlikely friends, goofy Anita “Needy” Lesnicki essayed by Seyfried and the popular girl, Jennifer Check, played by Fox. The story kicks off fast in to action from the point when Jennifer drags Anita along to a bar, to witness the performance of a band called Low Shoulder, with the intention of capturing the attention of its lead singer Nikolai Wolf, played by Brody. A curious turn of events lead to the bar being charred to the ground and in the mad dash for escape, Jennifer leaves with wolf and his gang members.

They take her to a forest and sacrifice her as an offering to Satan, mistakenly thinking her to be a virgin. As Jennifer had lied about it and she was not a virgin, the Satanic evil enters her and takes possession of her body, after which she goes on a rampage to kill men. Anita discovers and tries to uncover the truth but looses her mind when Jennifer kills her boyfriend too.

In an ensuing struggle she kills Jennifer and gets sent to the asylum. She was however, bitten by Jennifer and imbibes the evil within herself. She hunts down the Low Shoulder to kills them to avenge Jennifer and all the deaths.
