Sep 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Dexter Morgan, the serial killer is back to the television network with the American drama series “Dexter”. The season 5 premiere of “Dexter” was aired on Showtime.

Michael C. Hall shined in his role as Dexter and the audience loved and appreciated his performance. “Dexter” Season 5 episode 1 was subtitled as “My Bad” and the interesting storyline was written by Chip Johannessen. The much anticipated premiere was directed by Steve Shill.

The season 4 finale saw Rita’s sudden death and the season 5 episode 1 of “Dexter” picked up right after where it left in the last season. Dexter avoids saying the news to Rita’s grandparents and the children about it. It seems that Dexter was protecting his children from the aftermath of Rita’s death and at the same time he was protecting himself and hence he consciously avoids the conversation regarding the topic with his wife. However, the audience saw Dexter mourning for the death of his wife in the funeral.

“Dexter” season 5 episode 1 also saw the investigator Joey Quinn interrogating Dexter for the death of his wife. Season 4 finale of “Dexter” saw the protagonist coming home to find his wife dead in the bathtub and his son Harrison alive but sitting in Rita’s pool of blood, he immediately realizes that he has killed his wife’s murderer Arthur but he never expected that he would go through such personal loss in his life. “Dexter” is based on characters created by Jeff Lindsay for his “Dexter” series of novels. The series mainly revolves round the protagonist Dexter Morgan, who lives a double life as he investigates murders in the homicide division.
