dexOct. 19 (THAINDIAN NEWS) October 18’s episode of ‘Dexter‘ was as good as the previous ones. Just like the other episodes, it had something for every viewer. It is guaranteed not to bore anyone, whether you are looking for some romance or even gruesome, bloody murders.

The episode started with Rita taking the kids on vacation for the weekend. Dexter is advised by her to unwind. Which he plans to do with Zoey, the guest star of yesterday’s show. Soon, we come to know that he has, in fact, zeroed in on Zoey as his new victim. Zoey’s true identity is also revealed. She turns out to be a cop and a criminal. It is disclosed sometime during the show that she had killed her family and had put the blame on a drug dealer. The other characters of the story too are given focus.

The story gets an unexpected twist in this episode. In characteristic fashion, Dexter sets about to put right the wrongs, albeit in is own way that involves finishing off the wrongdoer. As he comes in contact with his latest victim, Zoey, we are surprised to find that he suddenly begins to understand why she had killed off her family and empathizes with her. It does seem really weird, given his strong principles of right and wrong.

The last episode of ‘Dexter’ was by far the best one in terms of both execution and story. Michael C. Hall is one of the finest actors in television right now, and that is proved in every frame as he flits from Harry to Dexter. The sultry and talented Cristina stars as Zoey, and carries off the part with aplomb.

He doesn’t empathize with Zoey at all. He said he would risk the truth instead of losing his family: quite the opposite of Zoey.
