Deve Gowda wants to watch Prithvi

April 30, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Former Prime Minister of India, H.D. Deve Gowda, has expressed interest in watching the Kannada film Prithvi. Prithvi attacks the mining lobby in Bellary and has political connections. With news that former PM H D Deve Gowda wants to watch the film, it has led to a rise in the film’s publicity.
The former PM last watched the film, Chandra Chakori, which was produced by his son, former chief minister H.D.Kumaraswamy. Deve Gowda wants to watch Prithvi as it attacks the Reddy Brothers in Bellary and has brought in a political twist of sorts. Former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy is also eager to watch Prithvi. Kumaraswamy may or may not join his father in watching the film at a private theatre on May 1.
Prithvi stars Puneeth Rajakumar and Parvathi Menon and is produced and directed by Soorappa Babu and Jacob Verghese respectively.
Karnataka Chief Minister Dr BS Yediyurappa is eager to watch Aptha Rakshaka, Dr. Vishnuvaradhan’s 200th film, which is running successfully for 75 days now.
