Dev Inaugurates His Own Website

Social networking and connecting with fans online have become the latest trend of entertainment industry. The actors are also more accessible these days and do not shy away from fans. Bengali film star Dev aka Deepak Adhikari, has also realized the power of online exposure. Recently, the loyalists of the actor launched a website dedicating to Dev and he came personally to inaugurate the site at a city mall.
The girls in the city are crazy about Dev and they can go to any extent to attract his attention. With this rising craze about him, Dev thought the site would be a great place to connect with his diehard fans. Dev, who changed his original name Deepak Adhikari for the sake of his acting career, launched the site on Sunday.
Speaking about the need of connecting with fans, Dev said that it is the age of connectivity now. He said that no unbridgeable gap exists between the star and his fans these days with the rise of popularity of the social networking sites. He added that fans are eager to know every move of their favourite star and the actors have also become quite easy with the fact that they will be under constant public glare. The actor also said that he always welcomes the feedback from fans because it helps him to perform better. Even though, he wants to remain in touch with them, it is not possible for him because he remains busy with script reading sessions, promotions, meeting or giving shots.
Dev is very touched by the fact that his fans regularly perform pujas before each release of him and send him Prasad. The actor thanked his fans on the occasion and said they are important part of his life.
