Details about Liz Corrie’s exit from ‘Coronation Street’ revealed
March 9th, 2011 - 9:41 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, Mar 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Details about Liz McDonald’s exit on the British soap ‘Coronation Street’ has been reported by The Sun.
Beverley Callard who plays the role of Liz in the ITV1 series announced last October that she would be leaving the show. The producers then wrote the script to ensure that her exit would be taken care of.
The report claims that Liz would complete one last shift at the Rovers Return before leaving the country. It would be the last time that Liz would be seen in the series because she will be leaving Weatherfield for good.
Liz’s decision to leave the town follows the arrest of her ex-husband, Jim. Jim was involved in robbery leading to his arrest and subsequent imprisonment. Jim will be sentenced to 20 years in jail. Liz promised Jim that she would be waiting for him when he comes out of jail.
It seems Liz would not be honoring that particular pledge because she left the country without telling Jim about it and from the way things are going it doesn’t seem she would be coming back to the country ever again.
The last episode that would feature Callard will be aired in April.
