Dermot Mulroney is the new Jim Rockford

Los Angeles, Mar 2 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Hollywood actor Dermot Mulroney is all set to play the character of Jim Rockford in the NBC’s TV show. The executive producers of the new version of the show are the ‘House’ creator David Shore, and the famous comedian Steve Carell. The ‘Rockford Files’ was a major hit TV show in the 1970’s and in that era, James Gerner used to play the title role. And now there is a newer version of the popular show, in which the main character of Jim Rockford is all set to be played by Dermot Mulroney.
This is a kind of a TV debut for Dermot Mulroney, as it is his first regular role in the TV industry. He will play the iconic and the legendary Jim Rockford, in his own characteristic style. However since this show is going to be new version of the old show, so the new Jim Rockford is said to be “slightly crumpled, wry humored, cynical, world weary, compassionate when it’s called for and easily irritated by morons.” According to reports, Jim has had a troubled past, and he has also served some time behind bars as a convict and a cop too.
