London, Sep 25 (IANS) Johnny Depp has been spotted here directing a new music promo for his favourite British band Babybird.
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor was spotted shooting the promo in Hatfield House in Hertfordshire, 33 km north of London. He was sporting a beanie hat, heavy jacket and white-rimmed glasses.

Contactmusic.com reports that the video, which was shot over two days at Hatfield House, stars Babybird lead singer Stephen Jones and “Snatch” actor Stephen Graham.

The 46-year-old is known to be a fan of the band, who are best known for their 1996 hit “You’re Gorgeous”.

This is not the first time Depp’s love of music has been documented. Last year, he admitted he has always wanted to sing a duet with Barry Manilow.

Referring to his musical movie “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street”, Depp said: “I don’t think I would have attempted this kind of project with anyone but a director like Tim Burton. But if there’s a chance of doing a duet with Barry Manilow now, then I’m in!”
