Oct 18 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Denver Marathon has officially been included in the Rock n’ Roll Marathon Series in it’s list of races that are scheduled to be held next year, in the fall of 2010, as per an announcement made by the Competition Group.

Peter Englehart, President and CEO of Competition Group, sounded elated about the choice. He explained that Denver was chosen on account of it’s convenient combination of gorgeous scenic beauty and smooth racing tracks. Added reasons were the fact that Denver experiences the longest summer months,more than three hundred days and also the largest number of runners per capita. It is, in fact, considered one of the healthiest cities in the world.

It is anticipated that the inclusion of the Denver Marathon will bring in more participants from around the world, given that the city is one of the best places for races. The breathtaking scenic beauty and it’s own vibrant culture is bound to add volumes to the Marathon’s rock and roll format. The city is also well positioned to accommodate the huge influx of people that will obviously come to Denver during this period, both to take part in the event and as a spectator. The 2010 event will take place in the existing race track in Denver that starts at the State Capitol and winds it’s way past many prominent buildings in the city like the Art Museum, the Public Library and Union Station ads well as the Washington and Cheesman Parks.

It is hoped that the Denver Marathon will give the city and the country’s economy a huge boost. Speculations are on that the tourism industry will gain a huge profit from this event.
