Washington, Mar 25 (ANI): Dennis Quaid is all set to play the role of former US President Bill Clinton in HBOs The Special Relationship.

The film will also see Michael Sheen portraying British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Julianne Moore enacting the role of ex-First Lady Hillary Clinton.

The movie is about the unique and sometimes turbulent political relationship between the newly installed British PM and the ex US President.

Frost/Nixon playwright Peter Morgan, who wrote the screenplay for the HBO venture, is expected to mark his directing debut with the film.

Sheen, who starred as David Frost in Frost/Nixon, played Blair in the Morgan-scripted The Deal and The Queen.

Also, Helen McCrory, who played Cherie Blair in The Queen, will reprise the same role in The Special Relationship.

Ann Wingate is the producer of the film, while Kathleen Kennedy and Morgan are exec producers, along with Andy Harries.

HBO is in discussions with the BBC to come aboard as a producing partner, reports Variety. (ANI)
