July 25, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Sprawling mansion of Dennis Hopper went on sale for a whopping $6.2 Million on Friday. The actor lived in the property in Venice, California and it spreads over 15,500 square feet. The actor passed away on May 29 this year after suffering a bout of illness related to prostate cancer and the ongoing divorce battle with his fifth wife led to his property being up in the air even months after his death after his death. The huge property is comprised of a number of buildings and it includes the 4900 sq feet corrugated steel house that was built by Frank Gehry. The property can also be purchased in parts with each of the buildings having separate price tags.

The actor was known for his role in movies such as ‘Apocalypse Now’ and ‘Blue Velvet’. He was known to be notoriously unpredictable and drug addict. His tumultuous relationships with women often provided good fodder for the media. His latest divorce if passed by the court before his death, would have assured around one-third of his total estate to his estranged wife. The couple had filed for divorce after what they cited as irreconcilable differences. Earlier this year, Dennis Hopper filed for a restraining order against Victoria Duffy that prohibited her from coming within 10 feet of the actor.

Dennis Hopper was also known for his outspoken political affiliations. He had earlier contributed for the Republicans and later said that he was a supporter of President Barack Obama. In a talk show he had explained that he changed his stance due to Sarah Palin.
