Dennis Hopper Los Angeles, May 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actor Dennis Hopper died recently after losing his battle to cancer, but apparently death came too early for him. He wanted to divorce his fifth wife and ‘die in peace’. But he was unable to fulfill his last wish. He had been married to his fifth wife Victoria Duffy for 14 years, and had filed for divorce in January 2010. He was expecting that the judge would grant a ruling in this case at the earliest, but it was not to be. The actor died waiting for his divorce to be granted.

In April, the Superior Court Judge Amy Pellman had made a landmark ruling in his divorce case and had then said that since the actor was ill with cancer, and also presumably going through his last days, so both sides ought to come together in such a case. Amy also wanted that both the sides come onto a mutual agreement, so that peace can reign in the house. “It’s never one-sided. There needs to be street-cleaning on both sides of this street,” Amy Pellman said about the tension and the bitter divorce battle in the family. It also ought to be mentioned that the day this ruling was made, Dennis was so ill, that he couldn’t even attend the court proceedings, and his lawyer represented him in the court.
