Jan 16, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Dennis Hopper, who is reportedly living the final days of his life, has decided to file a divorce case against his wife. According to the reports, the actor, who has been diagnosed with prostate cancer wants to end his thirteen year marriage with wife Victoria Hopper and has cited some marital problems for his decision. He has stated that the problems have become irreconcilable and so he wants to break the marital bond with his wife.

As per the reports, on Thursday, the actor had filed the divorce petition in a court of Los Angeles. The actor has not denied providing spousal support to his wife with whom he has spent almost fourteen years. The reports also indicated that the actor has already started to plan the spousal support for Victoria Hopper. However, there is no confirmation on the amount of money that he would offer her. Property division forms a major part of the divorce case and it is anticipated that Dennis Hopper would plan it wisely.

Though Dennis Cooper wants to divorce his wife, he does not intend to break his bond with his six year old daughter, Galen. It has been reported that the actor has requested for the joint physical and legal custody of their daughter. Though some of the media sources have revealed the news that Dennis Hopper has filed a divorce case, the actor has not yet made any comment to the media on this issue. He has not confirmed the reports that indicate his health condition has deteriorated and the doctors consider his cancer is incurable.
