London, Oct 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actress Denise Van Outen has hit back at the NHS bosses in UK calling them “disgrace”. The star came under criticism after she stopped her breastfeeding her daughter at the age of just three weeks old.

The star told the Sunday Mirrors Celebs on Sunday Magazine that the NHS sent her a letter expressing their support for her. However the same letter said the NHS was very disappointed in the star because she has stopped breastfeeding her daughter - Betsy.

She further said in the exclusive interview that the NHS sent her a mug with the inscription “Keep calm and carry on breastfeeding.” The star is married to Lee Mead of the West End fame.

The star further alleged that the NHS sent her another message telling her that they think its lack of support from partners that was why she was being criticized so much. The she claimed that the message urged her that if she could just go back to breastfeeding her child and her husband Lee shows more support by making her a cup of tea, the criticism wouldn’t be so difficult.

She said in the interview that she felt the NHS was not only criticizing her but they were criticizing her husband as well.

Denise was not only critical of the NHS, she was highly critical of some midwives as well. The star gave birth to her child after a caesarian section. She said midwives could sometimes be very rude and abrupt when one chooses not to breastfeed.
