London, June 29 (ANI): Former Big Breakfast presenter Denise Van Outen has revealed that she has met her husband Lee Mead only twice after their honeymoon.

“We got married in the Seychelles, the family flew home and we went to the Maldives for our honeymoon, then five days later he left for New York,” The Mirror quoted her as saying.

“Some women would have gone bananas if their husband left as soon as they got married. But we’re both in the same boat.

“It’s our careers and we still want to work. Although we really miss each other, that’s how it is.”

However, she still believes that it is not a problem, as they are in a long-term relationship.

“I’ve been out to New York twice to visit him and I’m just off for a third trip. It’s not a problem to be entering a marriage like this - because we’re in it for the long run,” Outen said.

The TV star is currently in Britian on a promotional campaign while her husband and former Joseph star Mead is studying drama at the renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York. (ANI)
