Demi Moore to direct film to raise breast cancer awareness

Los Angeles, Mar 31 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Demi Moore is part of a project to highlight the effect of breast cancer on women. The project dubbed “Project Five” would see Moore and three other female celebrities take the director role.

“Monster” filmmaker, Patty Jenkings; singer Alicia Keys; actress Demi Moore and Jennifer Aniston have all been confirmed as directors for the project. A fifth director is expected to be announced in the coming days.

The high profile project would also see Friends’ star Marta Kauffman, The Last Samurai’s Paula Wagner, Kevin Chinoy, Francesca Silvestri, Kristin Hahn and Aniston as executive producers.

The project is for Sony Pictures Television and it would be exploring the impact that breast cancer is having on people. This would be the first time that Aniston and Kauffman would be reuniting on a project since their work on the 90s sitcom “Friends.”

Aniston released a statement saying, “Our hope with Project Five is to entertain, inform and inspire dialogue, research and prevention. Otherwise, our goals are small. We want these films to move people and empower those affected by breast cancer to stand tall through this challenge, which impacts ALL of our lives, no matter who we are.”
