Mumbai, July 11 (IANS) Deepika Padukone, who would like to work in women-centric films, says that her journey towards such films has already begun with “Cocktail”, which is releasing Friday.
“I would like to do women-centric movies. In fact, for me I feel Veronica (her character in ‘Cocktail’) is that. I think, for me, the journey has already begun,” she told IANS.
Directed by Homi Adajania, the film also stars Saif Ali Khan and debutant Diana Penty.
Deepika says her teaming up with Saif again after “Love Aaj Kal” is just a coincidence.
“Sometimes, some things just fall in place and ‘Cocktail’ is second romantic comedy that we are doing together. Everything is just a coincidence. Our chemistry is something that is not tangible. Your either have it or don’t…In love stories, it is very important,” she added.
