London, Feb 16 (ANI): Cash-strapped Michael Jackson was terrified he would end up serving burgers at McDonald’s if he pulled out of his London gigs, it has emerged.
The King of Pop Jacko passed away in 2009 weeks before he was due to start a 50-gig residency at the arena, organised by promoters AEG, reports the Sun.
And now it has emerged that Karen Faye, the pop star’s hairdresser for 25 years, told cops: “He was scared to death because AEG was funding everything.
“He said he’d have to work at McDonald’s if he didn’t do these shows.”
Karen believes Jackson was “self-sabotaging” with drugs to avoid having to do all 50. (ANI)
