Debbie Harry was my first crush: George Michael
July 20th, 2011 - 3:21 pm ICT by IANSLondon, July 20 (IANS) Popular singer George Michael says his first crush was singer Debbie Harry when he was a teenager and it happened even before he realised he’s gay.
Michael, 48, told Debbie, 66, about his feelings when he met her at the Lovebox music festival in London, Sunday, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
“She (Debbie) looked great. I told her that before I worked out I was a poof, she was my first crush… (which is true!) … Not sure if she took it as a compliment,” Michael posted on micro-blogging site Twitter.
The “Careless Whisper” singer declared that he is homosexual after an undercover police officer arrested him when he found him in an objectionable state in a public toilet in Beverly Hills in April 1998.
