Deadliest Catch to pay a tribute to Capt. Phil Harris

dead New York City, Jun 17 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The show Deadliest Catch is all set to pay a touching tribute to Capt. Phil Harris. The farewell episode would start on Tuesday at 9pm ET/PT.

There are going to be around 6 episodes, which would showcase Captain Phil’s final days. It ought to be mentioned that Phil had suffered a heart attack when he was offloading his fishing boat, in the tiny Alaskan town of St. Paul. The show would also show how his sons – Josh and Jake get medical aid for their father.

It ought to be recalled that Phil Harris died from the complications due to a stroke. He was just 53 years old, when he died. After Phil suffered a heart attack on the 29th of January 2010, then the crew of his boat and his sons immediately flew him to Anchorage for emergency surgery, which was hoped, would save his life. But unfortunately, he didn’t recover from the stroke.

“Captain Phil was a father, fisherman, funny man and, most importantly for fans worldwide, a friend. We celebrate his life and all those he has touched through Deadliest Catch,” according to Clark Bunting, who is the President and General Manager of Discovery Channel and Science Channel in a statement.
